Minnesota officials say over 1,400 military service members are eligible but have not claimed a 2014 tax credit for service in a combat zone — and people need to act quickly because the deadline is Monday, October 15th.

The state Revenue Department’s Ryan Brown said, “The credit is for $120 for each month or partial month of service in one of those combat zones, and the average credit that went up for the 2014 credits (is) around $660.”
