The City of Saint Peter has declared a snow emergency and cars parked on the signed emergency route after midnight and for the 48 hours after that will be ticketed and towed.

City officials say for the two day period, no parking is allowed on residential streets from midnight to 7:00 a.m. even if that street has been plowed curb-to-curb.

On downtown streets, officials say no parking is allowed for the next two days from 2:00 a.m. through 6:00 a.m. even if the street is snow-free.

They remind residents that cars left on the street will be ticketed and towed.
