Three south-central Minnesota D.F.L. state lawmakers are taking questions from constituents and providing answers to them this weekend.
Representative Jeff Brand and his colleagues will hold town hall meetings in two area communities. “Nick Frentz and I and Jack Considine will be down at the city council chambers in Mankato on Saturday morning and then Saturday at 11:30 we’ll be in St. Peter at the community center,” he explained.
Brand, Senator Frentz, and Representative Considine are providing voters with a chance to discuss any legislation or issues they’d like to see addressed this session and Brand called it, “An opportunity for folks to come in, ask questions, learn about what’s going on in the legislature.”
H added that it’s also, “An opportunity where we can be visible in our community.”
The Mankato Town Hall is Saturday morning from 9:30 am – 11:00 am in the Mankato Room at the Intergovernmental Center. The Saint Peter Town Hall follows at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the St. Peter Community Center, Room 219.
Brand added that attendance is typically high, and he urges people to arrive early. At both events, doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the forum.
