Minnesota Department of Transportation isn’t warning drivers in south west and south central Minnesota that forecasted heavy snow and strong winds through Sunday afternoon will significantly reduce visibility and make travel difficult.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for all of south-central Minnesota through Sunday afternoon. Strong winds and whiteout conditions are likely, especially in open areas.

In addition , NWS says cold air will move across the region Sunday and temperatures will fall below zero overnight. Meteorologists say wind chills will be 25 to 35 below zero by Monday morning.
