A 22-year-old North Minneapolis is accused of stealing from sick children at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Mankato.

Mankato Police say Wainell Hall’s five-month-old son was admitted to the hospital early this month and Hall asked if he could use the PlayStation 4 gaming system from the pediatrics department, which is meant for children facing long hospital stays, until the child’s discharge.

After the baby was released the next day, MCHS staff say they discovered that the PS4, its controllers, and three games were stolen and some of the cords had been damaged.

Mankato Police went to Hall’s home and the criminal complaint shows that he admitted to stealing the gaming system and turned it over to police. He is charged with theft and property damage.
