The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota received an $8,100 grant from the Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America that will be used to upgrade its outdoor Farmyard and enhance its poultry programming with a new chicken coop.

“Providing high quality, Minnesota-relevant agriculture education has been central to the work of the Museum since it
opened its doors in May of 2015,” noted Rochelle Koberoski, Children’s Museum’s Farm Manager. “After four seasons of
serving thousands of visitors, our Farmyard buildings and grounds are showing some wear. Funding support provided by
Compeer Financial will go a long way to help us make needed improvements and also add to our poultry program, which
has been very popular with our visitors.”

The Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America, the corporate giving program of Compeer Financial, awarded 49 grants to
organizations across Minnesota through its General Use Grant Program. General Use Grants are intended to fund
initiatives and organizations whose work enriches agriculture and rural America, which is Compeer Financial’ s mission.

“These organizations give back to the communities in Compeer Financial’s territory every day, supporting agriculture,
technology, education, and the environment,” said John Monson, chair of Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America.
“We are proud to continue our commitment to agriculture and rural America in the second year of our General Use Grant
