Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Family Consumer Science will host its 11th annual “Parent-Child Play Day” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, June 14 at Rasmussen Woods Nature Area (555 Stoltzman Road in Mankato).
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held rain or shine. Parents and children of all ages, including infants and preschool children, are invited.
Students and faculty from the Department of Family Consumer Science will provide materials for play, to include boxes, fabric, tape and paint. Attendees should come prepared to play with children of differing ages and abilities. Students and faculty will introduce opportunities for risk, nature and free play.
