The Toronto Raptors defeat the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in a dramatic game 6 to claim their first NBA title in franchise history. Toronto was led by Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam with 26 points each. Golden State, already shorthanded with Kevin Durant being out with a torn Achilles, lost Klay Thompson late in the 3rd quarter who finished with 30 points and did not return after suffering a knee injury. Golden State who were heavy favorites leading up to the NBA finals, was denied a chance to a 3-peat as NBA champions.
