Monday night the Minnesota Twins faced off with the World Series champion Boston Red Sox and the bats never really got going for the Twins. Unlike the highly explosive offense the Twins have become accustomed to, the Twins didn’t manage to score a run and only managed to get 4 hits and one walk against Red Sox’s starting pitcher Rick Porcello through 7 innings. The final score Monday night at Target Field was 2-0 in favor of the Red Sox. This was the first game of a 3 game series the Twins will have against the Red Sox. Tonight’s Twins game will start at 7:10 where they face off against former Cy Young winner David Price.
