The Minnesota Timberwolves look to improve this upcoming 2019-2020 year after finishing last year 11th in the West, after finishing the 2018 year in the 8th spot and making the playoffs for the first time in 13 years. The Timberwolves traded out of their 11th draft slot into the #6 pick with the Phoenix Suns for Dario Saric and the 11th overall selection. With the 6th pick, Jarret Culver was the selection out of Texas Tech. Culver was named the Big 12 Player of The Year averaging 18.5 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 3.7 APG. With the 2nd round, 43rd selection the Timberwolves drafted Jaylen Nowell out of Washington. Nowell was also named Conference Player of The Year out of the Pac 12.
