The Blue Earth County Historical Society is replacing the roof at the History Center and needs your help to finish raising funds to complete the project.
The History Center roof, some parts which haven’t been replaced in over 30 years, is showing its age. Over the past several years, minor patches have been done to fix leaks from the roof, but after this particularly cold and snowy winter, the roof needed to be replaced now.
The roof repairs fund has already raised $25,000 but an additional $15,000 is needed to complete the project. A grant from the City of Mankato and support from the Edward McLean Estate covers the majority of the expenses and the remaining funds are from private donations.
