With the 4th of July travel week in the rearview mirror, we are near the midway point of the 100 deadliest days on Minnesota roads. Mike Hanson with the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety says they keep a close eye on fatality numbers year to year as they plan summer enforcement campaigns.

“Specifically, at the five-year trend line which is pretty consistent with over one-third of our fatalities occur within this three month period.’

Hanson says they still have impaired driving campaigns planned for later in the summer.
