When Greater Mankato residents, visitors and businesses come together to celebrate the heart of the harvest season, they Gather in the GreenSeam; a region in America’s heartland where agriculture is a catalyst for fun experiences, festivals and events that are occurring in Greater Mankato from September 14 – October 26. Gather in the GreenSeam is presented by Blue Earth County Corn and Soybean Growers Association and their checkoff. 

 “This is the third year we are celebrating Gather in the GreenSeam. Each year we continue to work with new partners and new events helping to promote Greater Mankato’s rich ag history and its exciting future. We’re looking forward to an extended six-week celebration this year,” said Carrie Kijenski, Visit Mankato marketing and communications director. 

 Kicking off the first week’s events are the Farmamerica Fall Festival, Indian Island Winery’s Annual Grape Stomp & Vendor Show, Old Town Art Fair, and the Mankato Farmer’s Market. Throughout the six-week celebration, experience other events like fall festivals, Oktoberfest, The Mankato Beer Run 5K & .05K, Artisan Craft Fairs and a plethora of fall family favorites including the Harvest Bowl football game where the Minnesota State University, Mankato Mavericks take on Winona State at Blakeslee Stadium on September 28.Page Break
