The Minnesota Twins kept their lead in the ALC with their victory over the Kansas City Royals, which ended in an 8-5 win.

Kyle Gibson had what could be his last regular-season start with the Twins at Target Field, as he is a potential free agent after this year.

Gibson’s game was a bit inconsistent, starting off with 94 MPH fastballs in the first inning, but gave up four walks and three singles in the next.

After just 52 pitches and five outs, Gibson was taken out and replaced by Zack Littell.

After the Royals scored 3 runs on the Twins, Minnesota caught up with 4 runs in the third inning. The Royals scored two more, but the Twins still stayed on top the rest of the game.

The Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City Royals face off again tonight at 7:15 pm, in another home game at Target Field.
