The area is dealing with an early-season arctic blast. Caleb Grunski with the National Weather Service office in the Twin Cities says single digits temperatures this early in November are not common.
“Our normal temperatures for this time of year are in the upper 40s for highs and the lower 30s for lows. Currently, we’re struggling to get to the 30s for highs so this isn’t all that common,”
Grunski says seeing snowfall early in November isn’t that unusual. After a brief warmup this weekend, temperatures are forecast to be below 20 in the early part of next week.
