But time is working against those who want a deal and a special session before year’s end.   This week’s Thanksgiving holiday shortens work time at the Capitol. Next week, lawmakers’ attention will be focused on an updated budget forecast.   And the Christmas holidays are only a few weeks after that. The legislature goes back into session in February.
