The Minnesota Department of Health has reported high levels of flu activity throughout the state. Mandy Houk with the Open Door Health Center says it’s not too late to get a flu shot.
“Some people have told me they’re not going to get the flu shot because they’ve been told it’s only 40 to 60 percent accurate this year,” said Houk. “While that is true, it still can prevent you from having super severe systems should you contract the virus.”
The Department of Health has reported eight flu deaths so far this year.
