President Biden is in Minnesota tomorrow (Tues) to tout the trillion-dollar infrastructure package he pushed through Congress, but that might not be the only topic that comes up:
Hamline University political analyst David Schultz says with Minnesota a COVID hot-spot and a new variant emerging, opponents will likely bring up the president’s handling of the pandemic and his push for a worker vaccination mandate. And why visit Minnesota on his infrastructure tour? Schultz says one possibility is because this is where the 35-W bridge collapsed during a Republican administration. But he says more likely is that Biden wants a place where he can get a favorable reception, plus help out a fellow Democrat, Governor Tim Walz, who might be vulnerable in his bid for re-election.
