2/22/22 Sports Update (Eagan, MN) -- The Minnesota Vikings are adding a handful of coaches to Kevin O'Connell's staff. The team officially announced yesterday that Wes Phillips will be its offensive coordinator after reports of his signing leaked Sunday night. Additionally, Matt Daniels will be the Minnesota's special teams coordinator. The 32-year-old Daniels served as an assistant special teams coach with the Rams from 2018 to 2019 before taking the same role with the Cowboys during the last two seasons. 2/21/22 Sports Update -- The Minnesota Wild scored four goals in the first period en route to a 7-3 win over the Oilers in Edmonton. Kevin Fiala led Minnesota with two goals and three points as the team got out to a 6-1 lead in the second. Brandon Duhaime, Joel Eriksson Ek, Connor Dewar, Matt Boldy, and Mats Zuccarello also lit the lamp for the Wild, who end a two-game losing streak with the win. "Uncharted" earned just over 44-million-dollars in its first weekend in theaters in the U.S. and Canada. Coming in second is "Dog" with just over 15-million-bucks. The movie co-directed by Channing Tatum is about a war veteran and the Belgian Shepherd that helps him adjust following a traumatic brain injury. 2/8/22 Entertainment News -- The Oscar nominations are being revealed this morning for the 94th annual Academy Awards. Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan will announce the nominees at 8:18 a.m. Eastern Time, 5:18 Pacific. Films like "Dune," "Belfast" and "Power of the Dog" are expected to do well. 2/7/22 Entertainment News -- Joe Rogan is calling his past use of the n-word "the most regretful and shameful" thing he's had to address. The 54-year-old posted a five minute apology to his Instagram after a video compilation of all the times the podcaster used the slur surfaced. Rogan explains the clips were out of context, and he used the word in quote or referencing others, but says he hopes this will be a teachable moment for how offensive the word can be. 2/1/22 Entertainment News -- The entertainment news show "Extra" is remembering correspondent Cheslie Kryst. The 30-year-old 2019 Miss USA winner died by suicide in New York City on Sunday. Producers from "Extra" shared a statement Monday, saying Kryst was a beloved part of the show's family and touched the entire staff.
