(Caledonia, MN)  —  Minnesota officials are trying to convince the MLB and Rawling Sports to keep jobs at a plant in Caledonia.  It was recently announced that the Miken Sports plant, which has produced sports gear since 1999, would be phased out in the next two years.  The Rawlings Group says that production will move to Missouri and China, leaving at least 80 people without jobs.  Several local officials, including Mayor DeWayne Schroeder, met with senators and representatives to try to find a way to keep the plant open.  The Rawlings company has said they would save at least four-million dollars by moving the production jobs.
