(Houston, TX) — Travis Scott is giving out refunds to those who attended his Southeast Texas festival where eight people died. Scott will also be paying for funeral expenses. He will not appear at this weekend’s Day N Vegas Festival in Nevada. He’s apparently too distraught to perform. Eight died and multiple people were injured when festival goers started pressing towards the stage on Friday during Scott’s performance. The FBI is now part of the already massive investigation.
(Manchester, VT) — Alec Baldwin wants police officers on movie sets. The actor tweeted they should look after weapons safety. This comes after the shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in New Mexico last month. It happened on the set of the movie “Rust.” Baldwin fired a prop gun and in his tweet, he said police should be there on every film and TV set. The shooting injured director Joel Souza.
— Oscar award-winning director Chloé Zhao is prising Harry Styles. This is because — spoiler alert — it was revealed in the “Eternals” end credit scene that he plays Eros in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking with Deadline, Zhao said she has kept tabs on Styles since he was cast in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 film “Dunkirk.” She explained Styles and Eros the God of Love share similar qualities. She said she didn’t want to introduce Eros to the M-C-U without Styles.
— It looks like some fans don’t want to see James Corden in the upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway Musical “Wicked.” A change-dot-org petition demanding to keep the late-night talk show host out of the movie has over 57-thousand signatures. It reads “James Corden in no way shape or form should be in or near the production of Wicked the movie. that’s pretty much it.” Corden has a long credit list in musical movies including, “Cats,” “Cinderella” starring Camilla Cabello, and “Into the Woods.”
— The man who allegedly punched Miles Teller in the face earlier this year is facing an assault charge. TMZ reports Russell Nielsen is facing a third-degree assault charge in the County of Maui. The incident allegedly happened in outside the restroom of a Hawaii restaurant earlier this year. On Twitter, Teller said he was “jumped by two men” who he didn’t know.
— Buyers looking to live like the media moguls in a hit HBO series may be in luck. The New York City condominium featured in HBO’s “Succession” is now on the market for a cool 23-million dollars. The luxe Tribeca residence features heavily in the show’s current season as command headquarters for son and heir Kendall Roy, who’s plotting to take over his family’s vast global media empire. The duplex condominium takes up nearly seven-thousand square feet inside the landmark 1913 Woolworth Tower. It boasts five bedrooms and six baths with a monthly homeowners’ fee at just over 12-thousand-dollars.
